Our Team

We are not a traditional “lab”—we are a dynamic, collaborative team of ecologists, computer scientists, and information technologists, working across career stages from undergraduates to senior scientists. Our research spans a diverse portfolio, including ecological modeling and synthesis, field ecology, machine learning, and cyberinfrastructure.

While I fund and advise graduate students and postdocs, our team operates as an open, collaborative network, encouraging co-mentorship with faculty at UW and beyond. Our projects bring together key collaborators from institutions such as Virginia Tech, the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, USGS, EPA, Penn State, the University of Minnesota, Colorado State University, and many others.
