The Art of Science

Christ is wearing a hat, glasses, colorful blue shirt and jacket. They have long brown hair and a beard that is graying. They are smiling and there's blurred green trees in the background.
This is a head shot of Paul with gray background. He is wearing an unbuttoned blue button down shirt and beige jacket

Chris Wagoner: Professional jazz violinist, teacher, and composer

Paul Hanson: Ecosystems ecologist, modeler, and composer

About the collaboration: Music pervades our society, recounts our history, represents our condition, and drives our mood.  Music is a vehicle through which we express our ideas and tell our stories. The Art of Science seeks to grow scientific creativity, foster diverse collaborations, and communicate the messages of science through music.

(See article in Madison’s ISTHMUS newspaper)

About the music: We encourage you to get involved, contribute, or just listen to the music.  All pieces are original compositions.  Proceeds from purchases go to The Art of Science, Music Edition, a fund administered by the UW-Madison Center for Limnology.
